Ostuni
Ostuni is a small city in the province of Brindisi (Puglia, Italy), with a population of about 32,000 situated about 7 km from the coast. Its main economic activities include tourism, known for its nearby pristine beaches, as well as a vibrant olive and grape agribusiness.
Holidaying in this area provides travellers with a unique experience in many different aspects. The numerous unspoilt beaches, traditional restaurants, unique sights, ancient history, diverse foods, hilltop towns and different activities are unusually unaffected by tourism. The ability to retain their distinctive characteristics, adds to the charm of this thoroughly fascinating place.
Holidaymakers usually rent a summer house or trullo either in the countryside around Ostuni or beside the sea. The busiest season is August, but given the warm climate of the south Mediterranean, holidaying there is agreeable from May through to October.
